Design for Recording Studios

If you are planning on a new recording studio or remodeling your existing recording studio it is best to design and develop a plan that will accommodate your new, future and existing gear.
Recording engineers have specific needs and the best solution to meet these needs is a custom desk with integrated rack systems that are not only easy to run but also have easy accessibility for your cabling and configuration needs.
Video monitors are a big part of the design and layout not to mention reference monitors and desk space to accommodate these. Proper wire chassis and gutter systems that make easy access for cabling from control room to ISO booths to live rooms is essential.
When you sound proof rooms for recording you are basically doing 2 things; you are trying to stop sound from coming in and sound from going out. This is accomplished by sealing doors and windows and any place where sound can come in or go out.
Installing solid core doors, double windows and double wall/ceilings is the best way to accomplish a true sound proof recording room. Using sound silicone weather strip gaskets for doors and windows will accomplish the best results. I also recommend using silicone caulking for all joints including floors and ceiling.
When you are ready to take a look at trim for your home’s exterior it is worthwhile to make sure you select a material that is water resistant and strong enough to last well into the future.
Wood is a favorite of since it is easy to work with and paints well. Unfortunately, wood is not what it used to be. Wood used for homes is no longer harvested like it once was. Now, for the most part, we get fast-growth, “farm-raised” lumber that is less dense and has a wider grain pattern.
Stucco is reasonably priced and easy to maintain as well as aesthetically pleasing. With a large variety of stucco colors to choose from, stucco works great with almost any home exterior.
Stucco has been a popular choice for hundreds of years but stucco is more costly than vinyl siding. This is if you are comparing the basic stucco with the basic vinyl siding, depending on the quality they both go up in price.
Wallpaper has changed and become a lot trendier over the years; it is now one of the most used styles in contemporary interior design. Today’s papers and wall designs can transform any living space into a statement of style and can be a true show piece in any home.
Wall design is a new trend and it is very fun and depending on what you want can be very easy to do. Figure out what kind of design you want, get stencils or hand paint it yourself. You of course can always hire a professional to do it for you but generally depending on the simplicity of the design, it is something you can do yourself, which is always a plus!
Everyone wants to make their home look beautiful and pleasing to the eyes.
Not everyone can afford a complete home remodel.
But a lot of home owners do not know some very inexpensive and simple ways to improve the appearance of their home.
With new door knobs, cabinet knobs, handles and hardware throughout your home, you can give your home a beautiful new and cleaner look without spending a fortune.
Lighting is a very important part of decorating your home. Good lighting makes a room comfortable and cozy or accents certain pieces of furniture or art you have.
The best light is always natural light, but there is a lot you can do with creating what you want in your home with other lighting. Everyone knows how important paint color, furniture choices and artwork are to interior design. One aspect of design that is often overlooked, however, is lighting. Lighting not only affects the brightness of the room, but it can also change the way a paint color looks, cast shadows in ways that make the room seem smaller and have an impact on the presentation of art work.
One of the major parts of a kitchen remodeling project is the countertops.
First things first, you need to find out what type of countertops you like. So the best place to start is finding out the pros and cons of each type to better your idea of what will work best for you. There are so many different types of countertops on the market today, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, advantages and disadvantages.
I know there are those of us who want to save a lot of money on a remodel in their home, or want a remodel but don’t have the money to pay for a contractor. There is nothing wrong with doing it all yourself but it can end up costing more than you think.
When you are ready to do a remodel or addition to your home, the first thing you need to do is decide on your budget. It doesn’t matter if your project is small or large; you need to determine how much you can afford for the project. Of course if funds are unlimited then this is unimportant.
The next thing to do if it is a small project is to find a reputable subcontractor or general contractor who can perform the work competently. Subcontractors are typically licensed for one trade, for example, say you have an electrical project you would hire an electrical subcontractor.

Don’t be afraid to be bold with some color. When you’re on a budget, a little pop of color on a wall or furniture piece makes your home look pricey and professional.
I know it is hard to really take a good look at whether or not to add on to your home or move out into something bigger. This is something you really should take a good look at. One may be a smarter decision financially than the other.
Do you love the neighborhood you are in but need more space? It might be smarter to remodel and stay or if you really want to leave, it may be smart while the market is slow, to rent your home out before selling it.
I want to clear this up in case you have ever been in this situation yourself. Have you ever found yourself standing at a hardwood flooring display at Home Depot or another home improvement store and looked at the sign on a sample piece of wood that read “engineered wood flooring” and wondered hmm is that real wood or fake? The answer is yes it is real wood flooring.
