Why Get a Home Inspection?

For the last 2 decades or so property home inspections have become routine when purchasing a home in Los Angeles, Burbank and surrounding SoCal areas.

After the home inspector has completed his report and finds deficiencies with the property the next step is to budget these repairs.

It is important to have a qualified, licensed, general contractor go over the report and do an on-site evaluation of the deficiencies listed in the report and provide a detailed budget to repair these deficiencies. Sometimes we even spot items that your inspector failed to identify.

On-site Evaluation Cost and Time

While doing our on-site evaluation we anticipate the cost related to repair each item. This service generally takes a total of 2 hours at a cost of $350 for your average 2,000 to 3,000 square foot home.

However, some homes need extensive repairs or are much larger and this may add time to the evaluation. Additional time will be estimated over the phone

We have numerous real estate agents and home inspectors that refer us on a regular basis to provide these detailed budgets. With this budget you are then able to negotiate with the seller and determine who will provide and pay for these repairs.

At RWT Design & Construction we are not only interested in providing these detailed proposals we are also interested in doing the actual repairs to your home. That is why we will refund our charges for the report if we receive at least 50% of the work listed in our proposal.

Our turn around time is 1-2 days from the day your consultation is scheduled since we understand the importance of meeting your escrow time dead lines.
